The statistics of the traders that win and lose are devastating.

Studies documented by A.Hoffman and H. Shefrin, and B. Barber and T. Odean on the Taiwan and Shanghay stock exchange with 450,000 traders in the period from 1992 to 2016, defining ‘trader’ as all those who made at least 2 buy and sale operations in a single week, showed that the percentage of winners was 5.4x1,000 (far less than 1% or, in other words, about 27 out of 10,000). The rest of traders and institutions that operated on the stock exchange were losers, with a total loss figure equivalent to 3.5 times China's GDP.

Successful traders who manage to be part of this percentage lower than 1% of winners, have in common an average of 5 years of hard work, in a trial and error learning environment before starting to consistently succeed.

Anyone who intends to enter the world of trading and be a winner can follow the guide that is reflected in this work as a relentless "totem" in the form of a marked path, consisting of 5 phases, separated by colors, which from bottom to top are:

- a first year of training, learning systems of winning mentors from their own experience. The novice investor is not recommended to invent a new system, but to learn from one that works.

- a second year, where the already trained investor practices consistently what he or she learned on a virtual platform without investing their money, just as airplane pilots practice with machines before piloting a real plane. In this second year it will be advisable to perform a minimum of 500 documented operations in an excell sheet, until obtaining positive results.

-  in the third year the trader begins to operate with a real account, also called  "the hot tub", where the trader invests a small amount of capital. This is a year in which most traders lose or close the year with losses, since the psychological factor is added when using their own money.

- the fourth year is usually another stage back to the virtual system, where now the trader is much more aware of his/her own mistakes, and this time tries to add the correct psychological and emotional management to his/her operations. This period is recommended to be of 1 year and 600 operations.

- the fifth year is the return to real operations, where the trader shows that he has managed to correct his/her mistakes with an impeccable management of the system and psychology, and where he/she starts to obtain positive results in a consistent manner.
